PROF. ANGELA NNENA UKWUANI-KWAJA

Prof. Angela Nnena Ukwuani-Kwaja is a distinguished biochemist affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, at Abudullahi Fodiyo University of Science and Technology (formerly Kebbi State University of Science and Technology), Aliero, Kebbi State, Nigeria. Since beginning her academic journey in 2008, her research has passionately focused on ethnomedicine, phytochemistry, and the therapeutic potential of medicinal plants, seamlessly bridging indigenous knowledge with scientific validation of natural products and pharmacology. She continues to inspire and mentor students, exploring the transformative possibilities of plant-based therapeutics. As Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, she brings her strong background to the vision of Help the Aged Initiative. Her leadership reflects a passion for promoting dignity, independence, and compassionate care for older persons, especially through inclusive, evidence-informed community initiatives.
